Assassin's Creed Shadows Switch 2 Version Confirmed – Dec 2, 2025 Launch

After weeks of swirling rumors, the news has finally been made official: Assassin's Creed Shadows is set to launch on Switch 2 on December 2, 2025 .

Tailored for the Switch 2 platform, this version will feature touchscreen controls designed to streamline navigation across menus, maps, and hideout management . It will include all post-launch content updates released for other platforms to date—with the exception of the Claws of Awaji DLC, which is scheduled to arrive on the handheld system in 2026 .

Thanks to Ubisoft Connect integration, players can seamlessly pick up their saved progress from other platforms and continue their journey on Switch 2 . Both physical (via key card) and digital editions of the game will be priced at $79.99 .

In related updates, a major parkour enhancement patch is slated for October 28. This update will introduce advanced mobility features like unrestricted height jumps, stable vertical edge grabs, and manual beam-to-beam leaps to boost movement fluidity . Additionally, a free story expansion—dubbed The Perplexing Puzzle and featuring a lighthearted, Assassin's Creed Odyssey-inspired tone—is set to debut on November 25, 2025 .
