Eclipse: The Awakening – New MMORPG Teaser Trailer Is Out Now

A teaser trailer for the MMORPG game Eclipse: The Awakening has been released, and it enables the gaming community to have a better understanding of what the project currently represents. The trailer was released on YouTube and offered Smilegate Megaport and NPIXEL's first impression.

The teaser centers on an ancient priestess who moves within a broken paradise. The priestess moves towards a region known as the Sanctuary while clutching a Numimic Shard. The shard begins to light up as the priestess unleashes her powers, and there is a sense of a heavy atmosphere. All things within the teaser revolve around her destination as well as abandoning a world which is already falling apart.

It would appear that the focus of play at the moment is on Sanctuary. It is featured prominently in almost all the major actions shown in the trailer. The scene keeps changing, with various settings ranging from open plains to a hallway with gentle illumination. None of these aspects have been detailed in the video, but Sanctuary is featured as an integral component of the world.

The footage shown includes cutscenes and in-game graphics. Artwork is clean and colorful, with big open environments and radiant symbols. The overall ambiance remains serious throughout but doesn’t cross any boundaries or become terribly intricate. It may be short and a teaser, but it packs enough punch to conclude what sort of ambiance prevails.

Smilegate confirms that it is developing the game on PC and mobile. Cross-platform compatibility is cited as one of the main functionalities already being offered.

At least for the moment, the teaser trailer will have to be considered more as a preliminary teaser. It highlights what the world, and more specifically the main character, represents within the video, and then finally what it's all about with regards to Sanctuary. This will be unveiled at a much more detailed stage as updates continue.
